Education: My Weapon of Choice

Today’s post is all about continuing education. I am a big, huge, ginormous advocate for learning and growing no matter a person’s age. The world is constantly evolving and so should we. Our time on earth is short so why not explore our interests and live life outside of our comfort zone?

In August 2010, I decided to pursue a B.S. in Journalism and Mass Communications and a minor in Child, Adult and Family Services. Why? It came naturally to me. I enjoy writing, researching, communicating, and working with diverse groups of people. Are these my only interest and talents? No way, Jose. My list is long.

To name a few…
Education
Dentistry
Psychology
Fitness

What do these career paths have in common? They all would challenge me and put my nose back in the books. Why don’t I quit my daydreams and go with what is easy and already attainable? Well, plain and simple, when I am on my deathbed, I don’t want to wonder what if. I want to know that I did what made me happy, and what makes me happy is constantly learning, engaging and broadening my horizons.

I hope this post inspires you to try something new, to leap outside of your comfort zone, and better yet, to grab a friend to join you in living this life to the fullest.
